Responsible for counting the votes contained on each ballot submitted for candidates seeking to become a BOD officer or director. The committee consists of 2 members only.

Grievance Committee is composed of REALTOR® members who are responsible for reviewing ethics complaints and arbitration requests that have been filed with BRAR. The committee determines whether or not to forward cases to the Professional Standards Committee for hearings. Completion of professional standards training seminar is required.

Promotes the interests of real property through recommendations to the Board of Directors by monitoring legislative activity on all levels. Communicates the legislative positions and rationale of the BRAR, VAR and NAR to the membership. Monitors VAR’s “bill review” process to assess which issues need membership attention and imput.

Conducts ethics and arbitration hearings as required. Members shall be appointed by the President-elect and the CEO, subject to confirmation by the Board of Directors. All procedures shall be governed by the Code of Ethics & Arbitration Manual of the National Association, as amended from time to time. All members are required to attend the all-day VAR Professional Standard Training Seminar at least once per year.
