Real Estate Encyclopedia for REALTORS® and Consumers. A wiki that exclusively deals with the real estate industry was officially launched earlier this year. Fannie Mae Scraps Policy.  Fannie Mae will no longer require borrowers to put up an extra 5 percent down payment when purchasing homes in areas deemed “declining markets,” the country’s largest secondary mortgage market company said Friday.  http://www.realtor.org/RMODaily.nsf/pages/News2008051602?OpenDocument

SUPRA NEWS

SUPRA has announced that this fall, they will introduce a Blackberry-driven Bluetooth device to open lockboxes. The concept is to have your Blackberry talk to the small Bluetooth device that will, in turn, open the lockbox via normal infrared communications. We suspect they will have the device ready to display come fall, but not necessarily for sale. We will keep you informed as we get more news on this big step forward!
