2010/2011 PRIORITY: Offer and/or promote an ongoing menu of quality real estate education and training courses and which, at a minimum, allow REALTOR® members to earn their mandatory continuing education hours every two-year cycle; evaluate member needs and interest to determine specific topics.

2010/2011 PRIORITY: Utilize creative marketing and multiple communications vehicles - including outreach to brokers, MRIS front page, and BRAR website/RSS, among others - to promote BRAR education/training offerings.
|

|
Investigate offering pre-license courses for agents and brokers, either as a stand-alone school or in partnership with other providers.
|
|
|
Offer real estate technology/social media training to encourage members to embrace technology in their business models as a tool for better serving customers and clients and improving efficiency.

|
Investigate offering CE credit for approved topics offered in conjunction with BRAR membership meetings or social functions.
|
|
|
Investigate low or no-cost education presenters (VAR, NAR, government agencies, chamber, affiliates, etc) to offer timely education, training and motivational programs.

Investigate providing resources on professionalism and the Code of Ethics on the BRAR website.

2010/2011 PRIORITY: Create comprehensive communications plan for BRAR utilizing both traditional and new media*; plan should include objectives, audiences, vehicles, messages, schedules and evaluation/feedback mechanisms. (*Facebook, BRAR website, RSS feeds, and customized MRIS front page)

2010/2011 PRIORITY: Develop plan for re-engaging brokers in association affairs and providing information, services and networking events targeted to the needs of brokers.

2010/2011 PRIORITY: conduct annual program of broker/office outreach visits by BRAR leaders to build goodwill and gather input from members.

Provide a variety of opportunities and incentives for membership meetings and member networking, interaction and engagement.

2010/2011 PRIORITY: Conduct annual leadership planning retreat to orient the Board of Directors and committee leaders about goals, budgets, and their duties as leaders and motivate/inspire them for their year of service.

2010/2011 PRIORITY: Develop an affiliate member recruitment plan, including a slate of services/opportunities available only to affiliate members.

Develop a BRAR leadership development/mentoring program to nurture effective BRAR leaders and ensure stability and continuity.

Evaluate suitability of current BRAR offices and conduct needs assessment regarding future BRAR facilities requirements.

Develop affinity programs to provide volume discounts to members and where possible create revenue streams for BRAR.
|

|
Ensure exceptional member service from BRAR staff by providing/funding ongoing professional development and cross-training.

Assure that the annual operating budget reflects BRAR’s strategic priorities, and ensure ongoing monitoring and adjustment of strategic progress

2010/2011 PRIORITY: create governmental affairs Committee charged with managing a legislative agenda of state and local issues and informing members about local and state public policy issues that impact their business.

2010/2011 PRIORITY: Maintain an effective RPAC committee to implement an annual fundraising campaign, host candidate and issue forums, advise the board on local political issues, and focus member attention on REALTOR® political advocacy.

Develop system for monitoring local policy-making bodies and informing members on issues related to real estate transactions, property ownership, land use and quality of life.
